Messaging module UddeIm

Messaging module UddeIm was created by Fendermate
Does anybody have a working messaging module on their site?
Both CB and Kunena have integrated UddeIM but there isn't a separate module I can place on the front end without having to go through CB or Kunena.
I've tried loading com_uddeim_j50 with no success.
Any ideas?

UddeIM is entirely open source at Github. You can grab latest builds there.

github.com/slabbi/uddeIM

Looks like the Joomla 5 module was updated 8 months ago. So that might work fine once zipped and installed.

With some help I figured out the problem. It was with Github. The files need to be downloaded to a separate file, then extracted, then zip compressed. Joomla will now recognize the new zipped file and installation will be normal.
After all that, UddeIM doesn't fit my needs for a site-wide messaging system.
I'm trying JChat Social.

Well I hope you'll look forward to CB 3.0 then! The next rewrite stage for Private Message System is into a true messenger (e.g. similar to Facebook Messenger). It'll take us awhile to get there though so I do recommend finding something to fit your needs through Joomla extensions.
