I have a GJ approval group with Kunena forum integration. There's an associated Kunena forum category as a result. That category contains just one test posting ("Test forum posting to womens' group").

If I browse the same group as a member, I see a forum tab listing containing just the one posting to the group and that's readable, all as expected.

If I browse the GJ group as a non-member:
  1. I would expect to see only the postings associated with the group listed on the forum tab. I actually see a listing of recent postings from the whole forum, not just those in the approval group.
  2. When I click the one test posting from a member of the group, I get a 403 forbidden error from Kunena. I would expect to be able to view the posting.
Behaviour doesn't seem consistent with only group-specifc content being shown and approval group content being visible to non-members.

Was able to confirm your issue. Seams like the API changes in Kunena also hit CB GroupJive Forums and not just CB Forums. Will work on a fix.

Ok, it looks like category filtering isn't working correctly in Kunena's API. I'm looking into it further, but this might actually be a bug in Kunena as it's not respecting the category id sent to their API.

Aha, found the cause. Their API is checking read access for categories sent to filter the topics. If you're not in the group you don't have read access to the forum category. This causes it to default to not filtering by any category. Their API really should be account for this as then it completely breaks the filter. I however am able to workaround this by explicitly adding to the query to filter by a specific id, which will resolve this issue.
