We have a setup in which administator users can see and edit additional fields on website user's profiles. This is achieved by apply CB conditional against 'Viewing User' to fields and their tabs.Â
We've noticed that when a normal user, without view access to the additional fields, saves an edit to their profile, all values previously applied to the additional fields are cleared. Would we not expect that these values are left untouched in this scenario?
I've attached the CB condition configuration for an example of an affected field. By design, the second condition here resolves to false for a normal user.Â
Please can you help us as this is causing serious data loss issues.
That's normal default behavior of conditioned fields. Their values reset when conditioned away. You can turn this off by adjusting the Reset parameter below your conditions.
