We would like to assign a unique Account Number to each member, for customer support purposes.
Is there a unique identifier available already?
If not, please instruct how this can be done.
Users already have a unique id. It's their user id specifically. You can access it anywhere substitutions are supported with [user_id]. So for example if you want to display it on profile you can add that substitution to a Custom HTML field. It is not searchable on frontend userlists though, but is in backend user management.
