Auto action - Article checked out after redirect

I am using an Code auto action to change the category of an article after the trigger joomla_onContentAfterSave. This works perfectly and the article is saved correct and not Checked out. Then I also add an redirect auto action with the same trigger (positioned after the first auto action), which redirects to the frontpage  - and no the categry of the article is still change correctly, but the article is now checked out - every time, as though the save process is not finishing because of the redirect - what to do ?

It's not safe to redirect during that event. Joomla does other processing and behavior after it. I don't think there's an event for Joomla content save that's safe to redirect on. In Joomla during a controller save event there's a function for setting the redirect location safely, but I don't think you can access that from the article itself.
