Best "new" way to add users? was created by aalisg
Hello,

We need to add several users in our database.
This message contains confidential information
As CB Juice does not work (are we wrong?) with Joomla! 4 we were wondering what would be the best method to do so. Can you please advise us?

Regards,

CB has built in export/import functionality within CB > User Management. You should see the buttons top right of the table. Export a row so you can see the format the CSV should be in then fill it out with whatever data you need. Your CSV should have at minimum name, username, and email address columns.

Hello and thank you for your reply,

Great. Once the import is done should we go to the Community Builder tools section and "Synchronise the users"?

Also, what if we want to import them with pre-defined specific passwords? How this field should be integrated to the file to be imported?

Regards,

You don't need to synchronize after import as CBs import will properly create CB users.

Also, what if we want to import them with pre-defined specific passwords? How this field should be integrated to the file to be imported?

Provide the password in plain text in a "password" column and it will be encoded when they're generated. If the password is already encoded provide the password in a "existing_password" column.
