Minitek Livesearch

Hi,
I read, that Joomla Smart Search doesn´t work with CB at the moment. Does somebody know if the Minitek Livesearch works with CB?

You can use smart search against the Joomla user, but not the CB user and the links for that user should send them to CBs profile. There's too many field access permission and privacy checks for it to work with CB. We'll be trying to address this in CB 3.x, but it'll probably be restricted to public profiles and public data only. The way smart search works is it pre-indexes all of the users and the search criteria so we can't live-check access efficiently.

As for Minitek Livesearch they don't have CB support listed so I assume it doesn't work at all with CB.

Hi Kyle, thanks....ok....that´s what I expected.
The CB search isn´t bad, it´s only a question of template design, I think. Maybe users are used to have one central search somewhere in the header, and it looks good ....But I´ll try it with the cb search filters in combination with joomla smart search. One idea: Maybe I´ll publish articels with CB themes. In this articles I will integrate the themepage of cb including the cb filter search which will be found over the joomla smart search. I´ll try something out.
