I've got this 8 tab reg form but the signup button appears at the bottom of each page. With it visible the username checker works but hiding it using display:none causes the 'invalid security token' message.
Leaving it will just confuse users so how can I get rid of it and have the functionality?

Sounds like you should be using Step by Step registration and not Tabbed. Step by Step will move the button to the last tab.
