Joomla 4 issue preparing content

The CB username always displays, and shows in the article intro from the main page. Then I go to the full article page with the Readmore. ( custom Javascript so you aren't getting the full effect in that 1 article )  Almost every time the page first displays, the cbgallery substitution is missed, and then most (but not all) times I do a force reload it finally substitutes.

I've made no changes to "Content - CB Gallery" plugin. The only setting in there which was copied from J3 was "Include Context" set to "com_content.blog"

Not even sure where I could debug this as it's sporadic.

In case it's relevant, I notice a similar sporadic fault in JEvents pages. The image thumbnails attached to events don't display, and I have to do a force reload to see those too. I'm also getting sporadically logged out front and back too.

Sounds like something wrong with your install or server configuration. As it's a localhost there's nothing more I can do for you as we don't support localhosts due to being unstable non-standard environments. I've yet to replicate your issue at this time. My best guess is your server is flat out not loading things are certain times for whatever reason and it's causing this issue or there's something going wrong in Joomla preventing content plugins from running.

On my localhost, I just mirrored my J3 site on it then ran the J4 upgrade. The J3 site is still performing flawlessly.
Where could I debug to see content plugins not loading?

Suggest enabling debug mode and maximum error reporting first to see if maybe there's a fatal error going on that's preventing content plugins from processing. Aside from that I'm not entirely sure as Joomla debugger doesn't show content plugin loading states. It could be another content plugin is causing the issue. Try unpublishing other content plugins 1 by 1 until the issue resolves.

Nothing in debug mode or in Firefox developers console, nor in any logs.

I tried disabling all 3rd party content plugins (besides CB).  Seems like the problem is less frequent today. Most of the page views are correct, but still happens occasionally, so I don't really see a difference with those plugins disabled.

Actually I can't repeat the problem in Google-Chrome today.  I wonder if J4's new use of json/jstorage is causing this.

Aside, I never enabled the Content - Community Builder Replacer plugin.  That shouldn't matter, should it?
