User avatar and Cancvas not changeable

When my user logs in and wants to change the canvas and another avatar they get the below.


There is no button to change the avatar or the Canvas. Any idea what might cause this? This happens when they log in.

The config is as follows:

General: Name style = First, Middle, and Last Name.
Name format = Name only

registration = yes, independent of CMS

That should be a standard HTML select input. Something on your site might be altering its style via CSS causing it to display like that. Usually the Joomla template is the culprit. Switch to Joomla's default template and refresh to see if it displays fine.

I recently converted this last sit of mine from J3 to J4. It is a sight that came a long way from the original 1.5. The template I am using is Rocket Gantry 5.5.15. I picked up a new issue, when I would do Edit/Canvas it displays the image as indicated above. When I refresh the page, it displays the selector correctly. When I select "New Image for Gallery" no option is displayed to select from. When I click update, and reselect the same, it displays the canvases. When I select a new canvas and click update, the canvas is updated.

When I log into the site it is also not automatically diverted to "view my profile".

I use the same template and CB on a newly developed site, and there I have no issues.
Will check further and see what is the issue.
