Field limit? was created by bmeeker
I just got an error as I was adding more text fields - please let me know what to do.
Using latest Joomla, and CB and php8.0.
MESSAGE:
Row size too large. The maximum row size for the used table type, not counting BLOBs, is 8126. This includes storage overhead, check the manual. You have to change some columns to TEXT or BLOBs

Depends on your database configuration. If you see that error then yes you've hit your database limit, which shouldn't be until around 200 fields on some installs but on properly configured should be around 1000. There's quite a few topics on this already with potential fixes and workarounds, please be sure to search the forums before opening new topics.

The 1000 doesn't include queries since they do not show up on the #__comprofiler table - correct?

Correct. Custom HTML, Code, Query, and a few other field types do not count towards that limit as they've no storage in _comprofiler.
