I'm trying to use AutoActions to auto create a menu item in the CBMenu when a GJ group is created. Where can I find the variables for GJ group names for that action, is it var2_name? 
I'm also concerned with duplicate menu item names if I use the GJ group name as the menu name. Maybe there's an Ajax checker application for that?
Any advice?

The Menu auto action for adding menu items to CB doesn't have storage. It is all done dynamically when the menu is rendered. So what you're trying to do probably will not work at all.
