I'm not having any such issues. Please be sure both CB and CB Field Groups are on latest build releases. If you've any form of JS caching extension installed (e.g. JCH Optimizer) be sure to purge the cache as the JS might be cached. If issue persists please PM backend super user login credentials and will take a look.
Edit: Also confirmed working on our demo site.

There was only an update for CB available not for CB Field Groups ?? I have this version of CB Field Groups installed right now: 2.0.0+build.2022.09.06.14.41.47.ed5910b15
That's latest CB Field Groups. Please PM backend super user login credentials and I will take a look. There's something in your environment that isn't present in mine so am unable to confirm your issue.

Ahh this is odd.. I have updated the cloned site - and there it works, but not on the live site ???? You can not have access to the live site due to GDPR.
If you're on MySQL 5.7 the fieldtype might be the old JSON database column type which isn't needed anymore. Try running the "Check Community Builder User Fields Database" and "Check Community Builder User Fields Database with strict column types" tools in CB > Tools. It should've changed the type on install though.
If that doesn't fix it there's nothing more I can do without access, sorry.
