As an administrator, I register new users through the admin panel by adding new users in Community Builder/ User Management.

After adding them I get the error Call to undefined method Joomla\Database\Mysqli\MysqliDriver::stderr() "logged elsewhere"

When I go to Community Builder/ User Management, the user is registered, but has the following issues:
  1. The user is not allocated to a group
  2. The user is immediately enabled, confirmed and approved.
  3. The user welcome email is not sent out, even though the Joomla Server Test emails are working on SMTP SSL.
  4. When I send a mass mail to the user through Community Builder/ User Management, the email is sent and a copy to the admin.
  5. When I use Resend Confirmation, it is also not sent and a message "Sent confirmation emails to 0 users" displays
[/ol]
When I look in Joomla Users/Manage, the user is not activated, and I can request that they need to reset their passwords.

I need to load my students and send them welcome emails to change their passwords and complete the complete application form on CB.

Please advise what could be the issue.

Do you get this error when creating the user in Joomla Users > Manage as well? Have already replied to your below topic regarding that error message, but given CB still stores a user it's likely not CB doing it.

I created a new tester in CB User Management.

Get the error - Call to undefined method Joomla\Database\Mysqli\MysqliDriver::stderr() .

The user is again not added to any group. See attachment.

Have not updated CB yet. Will do that now test again and make another reply.

Hello Kyle,

OK updated CB to the latest build. Registred a new user and the error "Call to undefined method Joomla\Database\Mysqli\MysqliDriver::stderr() " is now gone.

As for the issue that the user is not registered to a group and not receiving an email to notify them, is my fault. I have unpublished the Contact info tab that contains the Group field. :woohoo: :(

I do not know what happened there.

I do receive an email but it does not seem to use the CB Registration welcome email. But I will play around with that.

I also have a new error: "Column 'authProvider' cannot be null".

I have tried the two settings on the Control Panel / Configuration:

1. Same as CMS "allow Registration" which is switched off in Joomla. The admin registers the user after a selection process. So no self-registration from the front end.

An email is received with the username and password which is a huge long one. When the user tries to log in they get "Incorrect username or password. Please try again." I then requested the username via forgot login. The correct username is received. I then request the password. A different password is sent, which is much shorter. This password works with the username and then requests a new password.

No welcome email from Auto Welcome or the registration tab is received.

2. I tried the Yes, independent of CMS "allow registration" which is not what I want since I figure this is to allow registration from the front end.

Same Joomla account information is sent. Nothing from the Pending email and nothing from the Welcome email. Also nothing from Auto welcome. The Password issue is the same as in number 1 above when the user wants to log in.

I have to start my user on the system to upload all their information since they have already paid, but now I am a bit stuck on the testing of the emails to invite the users to upload their information.

Thank you for your help.

Looks like a new database column was added to _users that we need to support. Looking into fixing this now. That's likely why the CB user is not correctly registering and several behaviors like welcome email are not working.

Ok, that is now fixed in latest CB build release. Please update and retry registering a user.
