I've been on PHP 8 for all of 2021 without issue so should be working fine. Enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration then retry and provide what error you're seeing with the callstack if it's available.

Your error is coming from JCE. Suggest updating JCE and see if issue persists. If it does I recommend contacting JCE with that error. Additionally to be honest JCE shouldn't be necessary anymore. Joomla provides TinyMCE, which is basically the best WYSIWG editor available.
