Videos (mp4) in profile no longer play / audio only

Not sure when it started, but videos in user profile files that used to play now only play the audio. If I download the video file and play it on my pc it works as a video. Tried replacing the video file with a different copy and it still didn't work.

Existing uploaded videos no longer play or newly uploaded? Newly uploaded is likely a codec problem. Not every codec is browser safe.

We don't provide video processing (most hosts do not and will not provide ffmpeg PHP extension) so videos are uploaded as is. Tends to be best to use Youtube or Vimeo for hosting the videos if you need to guarantee playback (this offloads all processing and storage concerns to an external service). Custom hosting solutions also work since direct linking to MP4 files using the linking feature is also supported.
