Importing member Records into CB have member access imported profile

You can't mix an internal and external query in CB Auto Actions. Only way for you to do that is use a Code action then write all the PHP yourself to connect to the external database and update the user object.

Thank you. Will keep it this way. Will find a way to import the records into a temp table in the local database as needed and update from the local in future efforts.
