I don't see a way to specify whether conditional fields behave in the backend the way they work in the front end, but they don't seem to work at all in the backend. I have several conditional fields dependent on what you select on other fields and are REQUIRED if you meet that condition. However, if I make the conditional field REQUIRED, I can't edit the profile in the site backend without entering something in the conditional field because it isn't being hidden based on the conditon. I am using a "show" condition. Do I need to use a "hide" condition instead or is this a bug? Sure seems like it is an overlooked "feature" to me.

Thanks in advance,
Bruce

Edit: Confirmed the same broken backend behavior if I change to a "hide" condition (reversing the logic, of course).

Replied by krileon on topic Conditional Fields Not Working in Backend
You can enable backend conditions within CB Conditional > Parameters. It is default disabled as backend is for management purposes. You can't manage fields you can't see. I recommend leaving backend conditions off and within CB > Configuration > User Profile set "Fields Validation in User Management" to "No" so most validation is suppressed giving complete freedom for backend user management.
