I put Invites tab on its own menu item and page with 1 sentence at the top. That pushes the invites table down just enough so we can't see both the new invite link and the system message "Invite link created..." at the top of the page. We disabled the email invite attempting to lower the page height. Maybe another solution is to disable the system message.
If you're wondering about the 1 sentence at the top it contains a link to an alternative way of sending invites - the member's contact list or an input table of contacts to invite. So, the 1 sentence is essential.
I don't have anything to suggest then since the sentence is essential. That's just a design issue that you'll have to figure out what works best for your sites needs. Maybe the sentence can be in a module on the left/right side of the page?
