RE: www.joomlapolis.com/forum/153-professional-member-support/231768-kunena-fiddly-bits-not-urgent

Best I can suggest is modify the existing System Action for kunena activity and maybe remove the output of the post snippet so it's just the topic title then save it as a copy and unpublish the system action.

Forgive my ignorance, but this is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish; I want to remove the message output and only display the linked post title. I'm completely lost on how to do that. Can you provide step-by-step guidance?

I've modified the default system actions for both Kunena Create & Reply to remove commenting, and disabled the default system actions...but have no idea how to remove the post snippet. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Please do not reply to a 4 year old topic. Create a new topic and link to the old topic if you feel it's relevant. That topic however is no longer relevant. Activity display is no longer hardcoded. For kunena the display is controlled in the following template file.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates/default/core/display/kunena.php

Create a custom template folder in the below location.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates

For example you'd now have the below.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates/custom

Next copy the folder structure and file of kunena.php to your template folder. This would give you the below for example.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates/custom/core/display/kunena.php

Now in CB Activity select "custom" as your template. You can then freely edit kunena.php to customize that activity output while everything else will inherit from default template.
