Input masks are only supported for Text fields specifically. So be sure you're editing a Text field within CB > Field Management. Next under Parameters > Display you can set an input mask. Select "Custom String Mask" for "Input Mask" then review the description of "Custom String Input Mask" carefully to create your custom input mask. As you did not state what X and Y are supported to be (any character? numbers only?) I can't really suggest anything more specific.

I found that fields with a mask can be edited by the moderator ignoring the mask, entering any characters. What settings do I need to make so that the moderator can't ignore the mask settings?
Is the mask not working in backend, frontend, or both? Please keep in mind input masks are entirely cosmetic. They are not validated on storage. This is noted in the parameters description.
