Groupjive Groups and Joomla ACL was created by AlanJones
Is there a way to customize which users can see specific groups based on their Joomla ACL rather than just Open, Invite and Private.

We have a site where we want people to dynamically view content based on an ACL that they are assigned when they sign up.

Only way to control groups by ACL is to place them in a category with its Access set to whatever view access level you like. Groups will never have ACL controls directly as their access is always going to be determined by their type.

Groupjive categories will accomplish this than? We will be using the Activity feed. We obviously don't want people's activity feed filling up with content that is not relevant to their access level.

Will the categorical approach work in achieving this?

Groupjive categories will accomplish this than?

Yes, categories can be used to put groups behind ACL.

Will the categorical approach work in achieving this?

Yes, category access is checked before group activity is displayed.
