That sounds like an old routing bug that had already been fixed. Please ensure both CB and GJ are completely up to date.Also, after I entered the 'Creat Invite' button, I was directed to the GJ category page instead of staying on the group page.

Are you using the "CB GroupJive - Group Invite Notification" system action in CB Auto Actions > System Actions? If so it'll be sent to registered user as a CB Activity notification. If not then review what you've set "Notify By" within CB GroupJive > Parameters > Notifications > General. If set to "Private Message" for example it will send them a PM and not an email.
