Doesn't sound like you've installed the CB language plugin from our localization page below.

www.joomlapolis.com/localization

The Italian language plugin is marked 100% translated according to Transifex so it should be complete in regards to core CB language strings.

www.transifex.com/joomlapolis/cb/

CB will load the language plugin it's told to load by Joomla based off the language tag. So within Extensions > Languages > Content Languages you should have Italian configured with a language tag of it-IT to ensure CBs language plugin loads when Joomlas loads.

The Joomla IT translation was properly installed and configured, and I also re-installed the IT plugin from the localization page as you mentioned. But still not working in CB. Check this translated page as a proof of language correct configuration.

Switch to default Joomla protostar template and retry as your template seams to be doing some sort of ajax loader behavior that maybe messing language detection up. Ensure CBs system plugin "Community Builder System plugin" is published and public within Extensions > Plugins. You can also try setting "System - Language Filter" and "System - Language Code" to load before CBs system plugin by changing their order if either are being used, but it shouldn't matter.

If using CB Auto Actions and are acting on a Joomla event (triggers beginning with joomla_) you need to be careful what event you act on as you could cause CB to load before Joomla has detected the language being displayed.
