I've been following this with interest because a lot of my users are saying that the reset password sent to them works to login but then they cannot change it to a new password in edit profile. I looked at the issues tracker and can see send a token keeps getting moved to a later version. Is there any timescale for this to be sorted this year or should I follow the instructions and revert to the Joomla version.
Thanks
Mark
[MOD EDIT]: Please create a new topic instead of bumping extremely old ones. Simply link to the old topic if you feel it's still relevant.
Reset Password doesn't have any bearing on profile edit and the ability to change ones password. Ensure the password field is set to display on profile edit and they should see the field in profile edit where they can change their password. No there is no timescale on the reset password rewrite.

Hi
Thanks for coming back to me. What was happening on my site was the user requested a new password sent, they logged in using new password, then using cb-profile it correctly showed the password fields but if they entered a new password it wouldn't process it. I've followed the instructions you posted above and re-enabled the joomla version and it all seems happy so many thanks.
Mark
What do you mean it wouldn't process it? The profile won't save or it just ignores that they're changing their password? They may see 3 fields, 1 asks for the new password, 1 asks for them to repeat it, and 1 asks for their current password. You can control all 3 of those fields within the password field in CB > Field Management (e.g. you can disable verify and confirm fields).
