Hi I just checked and it does not work.

It even now blocks my activity to be created when a person registers for an event (on a third party component) and this used to work beforehand.
Secondly, it simply does not seem to work. It makes one single notification and thats it.

What trigger are you acting on? Sounds like whatever trigger you're acting on simply doesn't have a user object. Otherwise enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration and enable debug within your auto action to debug what's going on.
