Click the input and start typing. It doesn't show a button until it has become active as there's no reason for a submit button in this case when there's nothing to submit. If you start typing and it's missing switch to default Joomla protostar template to rule out styling conflict.

Hello,
that is not the solution.
In users profile page it works the way you say (image 1),
but if I just embed the activity module the buttons are missing? (image 2)

I think that i missconfigurated the module?
Settings in mod-activity->comments (3)
(comment are enabled)

Do you still have a suggestion?

regards
Thomas

Switch to default Joomla protostar template didn't help resolve this? Press F12 to open your browsers developer tools on the page where it's not working then refresh the page. Next check under the Console tab in the developer tools to see if there's any fatal JS errors (they'll be in red). If there are please provide the errors.

but if I just embed the activity module the buttons are missing? (image 2)

Embed the activity module? So you're rendering it inside of another extension?

Hi krileon,
first, thank you for your support

I have switched to protostar and in fact the same javascript error as in the template I use.
The console shows:

JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1 jquery-migrate.min.js: 2: 542
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed with logging active, version 1.4.1 jquery.migrate.min.js: 1: 102

Sorry, with embedded I have expressed myself unclear.
I do not render it with renderModule(SomeModule) but I created a new module based on CB Activity (Displays CB Activity as a module) and assigned a module position quite normally. And this one has no buttons/does not work.

Now I have the solution :-)
a collision with jquery was the problem.

After disableing jquery under Administration -> CommunityBuilder->Configuration
everything works as it should.

Thank you again for your efforts
