Hi,
Just did the filtering and it is a tad complicated because I put at first profile, events.*, groupjive.* [notice the space in between the comma and the next word] and it didnt work.
Once I had deleted the spaces, it worked perfectly.

Hi,
Weird behaviour... I am using "profile.*,events.*,groupjive.*" for filtering and it does now exactly what I want... apart from that it does not move the newly commented stuff upwards anymore... That means that people may comment on something really old, and nobody will see that comment since the post stays down there. If I put on the "profile,events.*,groupjive.*", then I get all the comments on other streams that I do not want inside the Recent news modules (plus I get activities duplicated and triplicated)... That is a bit of a problem...

What do you mean it doesn't move newly commented stuff upwards? You mean comment activity entries? The system action only logs commented on activity for status posts. You'd need to adjust its conditions if you want it to apply to groupjive, etc.. posts.

Hi,
Have i understood that correctly?
The Exclude Feature, which will hopefully come soon, will allow for example the following?

Show only streams from females, if i am registered as a male.

That would be great!

Greetings

The only thing determining where an activity entry belongs is the Asset. It has no idea what gender someone is. If you have an activity stream with an asset of "male" it can and only will show activity with an asset of "male". The same for female. This is all doable now by simply creating 2 activity modules, menu items, or even activity fields and adjusting their Asset parameter accordingly.

The exclude feature is specifically to exclude an asset. So for example if Asset is set to "all" to show all activity then I specify an exclude of "male" it will show all activity except those with an asset of "male".
