1.0.1 works for me, but 1.1.0 doesn't, the pencil doesn't appear.

Nice, finally working on J1.5 too with 1.3.0! Last problem is that if you update your profile using this ajax plugin, other cb modules (like last updated profiles) will not show it.

Correct, it does not update the last update field. As it was never intended to do so don't know if it's a bug or feature. Anyway just added as bug ticket for next release.
