CBSubs Fields Tabs Protect

For me this does not work as intended.

I cannot seem to find a setting that works. I will try to explain.

With a setting on a tab of...
  • A. Tab availability by Owner's Subscriptions: Yes, CB subs control detailed access
BTW this should be "CBSubs" not "CB subs", which would make the select option all that much shorter (haha), but more importantly stick to your nomenclature and trademark.

  • Owner Plans controlling tab available in profile: Plan A

  • Still Available for Profile Owner himself: No, profile owner himself is also restricted.
  • BTW the word "himself" is redundant and not necessary, nor is it sexually correct half the time :)

  • Owner plans controlling tab editable (none means not controlled): Plan A

  • Still Visible for Moderators: No: moderators can see tab
  • BTW should be "Yes" not "No", based on the question.

  • Still Editable for Moderators: No: moderators can see tab
  • BTW should be "Yes" not "No", based on the question.

  • B. Tab visibility by Viewer's Subscriptions: No, normal CB settings

  • Plan B Subscription members cannot see the Tab on other profile in viewing mode, even though they belong to correct ACL user group assigned to the tab.

Doesn't Availability = Available in back end (edit mode)?
Doesn't Visibility = Visible in front end (viewing mode)?

I am using CBSubs 1.1.2, CB 1.4 and Joomla 1.6

We still haven't really tested CBSubs with J16 .. but that is a different story.

Availability means availability in frontend - in backend I believe everything is available.
So if something is not available in frontend, then its not viewable in frontend - perhaps this changes your expectations?

I am trying to help pave that road with my best intentions.

If I set it all to Plan B including "B. Tab visibility by Viewer's Subscriptions: Yes, viewer's CB subs control tab visibility", Plan B does not see the tab as expected.

If I set it all to Plan B, shouldn't plan B see it?

Well, maybe its best to state what you want to happen and then we work on the how.
