I am setting up a new website for the business coaching and mentoring service I provide (this is not a commercial venture- we are a nonprofit and our services are provided for free to micro business start-ups helping people create their own employment essentially, and I only service up to 50 clients).
I am familiar with Joomla and want to use it as my CMS, but I can't find any extensions that can provide me the functionality I am after (which I was surprised at considering joomla is the go to CMS for member based sites).
I wish to have a private but interactive area of the site where only each registered member and admin can access the content, and I need the registered user to be able to easily add various content types, comments, and files etc. There is a very good solution available for wordpress which can be used as a guide to pretty much exactly what I am after. The plugin is called Client Portal and can be seen at client-portal.io
Is this a capability that can be provided within CB? I just don't see anything obvious in your features descriptions that suggest this is the case.
I don't see why CB wouldn't be able to do that. We've a lot of customers using it already for such use cases.
If you need user or admin created multi-client portals on a single site then CB GroupJive would be the ideal solution otherwise profiles themselves should work fine for this. Both groups and profiles can have activity streams and file management for easily sharing content.
If you need subscriber based access to content like groups or profile features then CB Paid Subscriptions would have you covered as it's able to protect basically any part of your site with a subscription.
You'll need to be more specific about what features you're needing for me to suggest anything further.
