Hello,

I bought and used CB for several years for an association.
For over 2 years, you talk about CB 2.0.
There are new attractive social networks come with J! 3.0.
Today I created a new site J! 3.0. I will test multiple social networks penny J! 3.0.
I did not want to start with CB 1.9.1 if I'm not sure to stay with CB
Older versions obsolete CB seem to me (admin interface and few template).
What timeframe for the release of a beautiful stable version CB (week, month, year?)
Opportunity to receive soon a RC?

Thanks

Hi and welcome to our forums (at least with your current username - btw if you have an old one please PM me so I can remove it).

Community Builder is free, so I assume that when you say you bought CB you mean that you purchased some kind of paid membership on this site to get more add-ons and support (thank you).

CB 1.9.1 currently works on all Joomla versions (including latest Joomla 3.2.2).

We have also been offering many add-ons on a commercial basis for our paid subscribers.

Many of these paid add-ons are currently being merged in CB 2.0 that will once again be free.

CB 2.0 beta 2 is available for testing for our developer members.

We are working on a beta 3 at the moment and then an RC will follow.

You can start with CB 1.9.1 and upgrade to CB 2.0 when it is available.

Hello,
Thank you for the quick response
I speak little English so I can'm not being clear.
My question was to have approximately the CB 2.0 release date (or at least the RC to test) that I compared to other solutions social networking component.
For a long time, but I expect it is unlikely that I start with CB 1.9.1. This would link me with you without knowing your plans for CB 2.0, 3.0 ...
a+

We are working as quickly as possible on CB 2.0 while supporting our paid users on the forums.

Current status is that we have released CB 2.0 beta 1 and beta 2 and we are in the process of releasing CB 2.0 beta 3.

After that we might go for a beta 4 or directly for an RC (release candidate) - depending on beta 3 feedback.

I will not give any estimation because if/when we miss it you will complain.

CB 2.0 is intended to be a smooth upgrade from CB 1.9.1 so you can start your project using the free CB 1.9.1 or you can also use Professional add-ons some of which will be included in CB 2.0.

You are of course free to choose any other free or commercial solution that you feel right for your use case.
