Uninstall JomSocial

Hi. I think I made a mistake by installing JomSocial - it was recommended. I'm not going to go into all the problems I had with it during their 14-day trial period, but the bottom-line is I'm looking to install it and give Community Builder a go. The CB site seems organized much better then the JomSocial and it appears to be optimized much better, which I'm thinking translates into the CB code.

I don't trust the folks over at JS...so I do not want to ask for any further support.

The error I receive after I uninstall is:

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/warcho1/public_html/components/com_community/libraries/featured.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/warcho1/public_html/plugins/user/jomsocialuser/jomsocialuser.php on line 20

It seems pretty consistent...and to get it off one must request support and hand over administrative access to them...which I'm not comfortable with doing.

Social is a cornerstone of my site going forward and I cannot risk holding JS as my center piece.

The specific error message seems to be coming from a plugin (jomsocialuser) that you have not removed yet.

Thank you for the reply. I was able to uninstall the previous software.

I have installed CBpro, and couldn't be happier. The uddeIM install went smoothly and integrated perfectly! I also love how CB integrates with Kunena. The interface on the back-end is much better because it looses a lot of things that are in my opinion not necessary.

Thank you for a great product...it was just what I was looking for.
