Managing volunteers with CB? was created by r083rt
I have a small group and we are trying to organize volunteers.

Can someone please suggest a good route for using CB for this.

Users should be able to fill out a form (or custom profile fields) with such information as skill level, location, availability, etc.

This info will help our group leaders select best candidates to contact for projects.
- This info should be displayed in a list view with filter options.
- Not everybody should have access to this list necessarily, only group leaders.

- If possible leaders should be able to leave notes linked to user (so we don't call the same person twice for example)

Is CB a good mix for this sort of need.

Any ideas or feedback on how to manage volunteers would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Not really a presales question ...

I guess you can take that route and have each volunteer actually signup on your website.

But CB is not a CRM.

Perhaps you should look at something like civiCRM instead for this use case.

True. Wasn't sure where to post and since I haven't bought the component seemed fitting that it's a pre-sale Q.

I see what you're saying about CB not being a CRM. I tried civiCRM but it's a beast compared to what I'm looking for and it slowed down my site. Maybe I could have worked with it some more to set it up better. Still seeking other options besides civiCRM.

Thanks!
