Club Memberships was created by kautrand
Hi. i just want to make sure CB Subs can handle this before I purchase.

We have a club with 150 members who each have a Registered User Profile using CB. Yearly dues, due by January 15th each year, are $500 per membership. We additionally have two possible add-ons of $15 and $300. I want to use our PayPal account to process the transactions for the yearly renewal.

Will CB Sub handle this?

Physical yearly dues can be set to be due in the beginning of a month at the moment (so the 15th is out of the box supported but you could probably execute an SQL action after each subscription to set the correct expiration day).

Add-ons can be additional child plans.

Please note that CBSubs has a 30 day first purchase return policy so you can try it out risk free.

I'm in the process of setting the membership up in CBSubs. One problem I've run into is how to set the Membership Period to a fixed date in the future. I want to start collecting dues payments vai PayPal in November and have them be effecctive on Januay 1, 2012 thru December 31, 2012.

Have tried finding this in the documentation without success.

1) Set a bonus period of 2 months, so people subscribing in November and December pay for January-December of next year (and get remaining of current year for free in last 2 months of Nov+Dec.

2) Set a grace period of 2 weeks so that they can renew until January 15th.

3) And choose Calendar Year as period.

Give same settings to non-exclusive children plans for the options.

That should fullfill your request, as I understand it.

Thanks for all the help. I'm getting much closer. I have attached a screen shot of my Membership Plans. A couple of problems though.

1. No matter what I do the plans show as an Upgrade. I want them to show as either New or Renewal to Membership.
I have set the Custom Payment Button Text or Image: in Payment Gateway to FIYC Member Dues, but I assume this only applies to the screens once you enter the PayPal site.

2. How do I change the Text "Your Current Yearly Membership upgrade possibilities:" to
"Membership Dues. Click on ALL you wish to pay via Credit Card"

regarding #1 - CBSubs considers all these (after registration) possibilities as Upgrades, but (see #2)

#2 - you can install the english language plugin (see cbsubs package) and make changes to language strings to handle this (see documentation - there is a chapter on this).
