We use CB as a Customer Relationship Management system that tracks what courses they have taken at our company.

For each course registered users need to be on a mailing list in Acymailing and have specific downloads available in Docman.

CB Subs has these integrations, which is great, however, there is no need for users to subscribe.

The admin would assign subscriptions simply to auto-configure the other items.

However, threads like this one: www.joomlapolis.com/forum/151-potential-bug-112/165927-renewing-plan-in-backend-doesnt-restablish-group#166177

...cause concern that this idea might be a mis-application of CB Subs.

Any feedback on this would be very helpful.

I believe that thread has something to do with parent child relationships.

My experience is that we have been using CBSubs only in backend on our workgroups website to assign users to various "workgroups" where each workgroup has its own download area, etc.

And it is working just fine.

You can test this on your own as CBSubs has a 30-day no questions money back policy for first-time purchasers.
