1. As a subdomain, which has single set of joomla files
2. As a subdirectory, which will duplicate whole joomla files for each slave site.
So by using second way, if we create 50 state sites, then whole files will be in 50 directories.
MY QUESTION IS NOW,
If we buy single copy of CBsubs component, will it support our multi site component in either sub domain or sub directory concept?Based on this only, we have to plan to purchase CBsubs component?
site1.domain.com
site2.domain.com
www.domain.com/site1
www.domain.com/site2
We expect that single copy of CBsubs to support either of these two url structure sites.
Thanks.
CBSubs license is a per-site license. Each site installation counts as one site.
Technically, and content-wise, these are separate sites even if JMS or any other
multi-site manager allows to manage them, and you can either purchase the number of sites where you use CBSubs (1-10 sites at a time) from your profile here,
or:
• if there are more than 5 sites that are not independent in content/purpose, but only technically, or
• if you have more than 10 sites using same CBSubs license,
You can contact us with a short description of the use case for a quote for a specific multi-domain unlimited-users license, using the "Contact" form link at bottom of this page. Those licenses are not handled automatically yet by our online sales and an online sale will need to be adapted manually to a multi-domain license. So you don't have to wait to start your project. You can purchase a CBSubs license to install e.g. on your main site, while we quote you and change that license to multi-domain.
