Question. I'm a good way through the manual but is there a quick start guide anywhere? It's like information overload :silly:
Glad you decided to go CBSubs - you will find that it is extremely powerful and flexible.
Yes we need a quickstart guide - on my todo list.
I guess the minimum needed to start would be:
- install and publish CBSubs main plugin (cbplug_CBSubs_MAIN_111-E.tgz) using CB Plugin Manager.
- if you intend to protect Joomla content (articles, etc), then you would need to install and publish the bot_subs_111-E.zip as a Joomla plugin
- since you have DOCman integration needs as you mentioned earlier you would need to install and publish the cbplug_int_cbsubsdocman-E.zip package as a CB Plugin
- a good addition would be to install and configure the mod_cb_adminnav-E.zip as a Joomla admin module (see detailed manual for config instructions). This way you have a nice backend menu for both CB and CBSubs to speed-up backend navigation.
- You need to configure your CBSubs Settings area (copy paste your license code from your profile on Joomlapolis)
CBSubs is now live.
Next you would need to configure your payment gateway (I guess setting up a dummy gateway in the beginning to start testing is ok - but later you will need to make a paypal gateway - described in detail in manual).
Then you would create your 2 (?) CBSubs plans from Plan area backend. Focus on presentation and pricing tabs initially and look at integration tab to see docman sub-tab.
