Multi level subs management

Multi level subs management was created by Silver007A
Hi,

Does cbsubs have a system to track who introduced members to the site?

If I have a member, who introduces another member to the site, I would want to offer a commission for the introduction.

I have seen an addon for CB that offers that. It keeps track of who introduces who and lists in their profile the status of people introduced by them. I wondered if cbsubs did it anyway?

Thanks.

Thank you everyone

With 3rd party affiliation systems, yes. CBSubs supports PostAffiliatePro and IDevAffiliate affiliation systems. They are capable of handling commissions and of the like, but only for sales. For users joining your site you should just be able to add a text field for users to supply username or userid then use a delimiter field to format a URL to the users profile.

Thanks for replying on this. But, can you explain what you mean by this a bit more please:

Thanks for replying on this. But, can you explain what you mean by this a bit more please:

For example you have a field displayed on your registration page. That field is "Referral" or maybe "Sponsor". Whatever you want to name it. Lets say its code based name is cb_referral however. Ensure this field is NOT set to display on the users profile. You'd want to provide a description informing users to provide the username of the one who referred them. Now you would use a delimiter field to display a link to their referral such as the following.

[code:1]
<a href="index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=userprofile&user='[cb_referral]'">[cb_referral]</a>
[/code:1]
