Can CBSubs authenticate users based on the IP address or range of IP addresses the user accesses the site from?

For instance, I have colleges and libraries that subscribe to my site. I want to allow them to bypass login/password as long subscription is current and accessed from a defined IP range. I would also want to limit number of logins.

If not currrently possible, is there a way to implement it?

No, CBSubs nor CB have IP based validation; IPs are too easy to spoof and would be a high security vulnerability.
