If there is only one user field of type Joomla, I can register as new user filling in a value in that field without problems.
The error begins to appear, when there are two or more Joomla type fields to fill in.

Was able to confirm after adding more Joomla fields. Thank you, that was pretty critical in seeing the issue. Have added a bug ticket to fix.

This is now fixed in latest CB build release. Please let me know if you still have issues after updating.

Great, it works! Thank you!

While testing I found a small inconsistency with Joomla fields with the following settings:
  • The Joomla field is defined as mandatory
  • The connected Community Builder field is defined as not mandatory
  • Joomla Field Required in CB field is set to No
If this field is empty when saving the user in CB, the error of CB appears, that the field is mandatory and saving is not possible (see attachment).

You'll get odd conflicts like that when the field mismatches too much. I try to correct the mismatches as much as possible, but I'm not able to go deep enough into the Joomla form API to change all the required switches. It's typically best to always leave the fields as not required in Joomla then if you need them required then set them as required in CB as CBs validation will deal with that check.

Added a bug ticket for this, but can't guarantee I'll be able to resolve it due to what I'm able to adjust within the Joomla form structure.
