Confirmation email not working

Confirmation email not working was created by gradys
Hi,
after upgrading to latest version of Community Builder my User Registration Confirmation Emails stopped working.

Everything looks OK, even when trying "Resend Confirmation" button I can see green confirmation message, but no emails are in my Inbox/Spam/...

I tried to downgrade Community Builder one release at a time - last working release is 2.1.0+2016.12.18.16.28.40.cb77dc626. Newer releases don't send emails.

Joomla Version: 3.6.5
Community Builder Version: 2.1.2+build.2017.02.05.10.45.37.e5478ceee (last working release: 2.1.0+2016.12.18.16.28.40.cb77dc626)
PHP Version: 5.6.30
MySQL Version: 5.5.52

Check that emails are working at all by trying to send a mass mailer email to your self from within CB > User Management. If not the verify your mailer settings are correct in Joomla global configuration.

Joomla e-mails are working. I only change CB version.

"Older" CB versions send e-mails (confirmation, mass mail, ...), "newer" CB versions don't send any e-mails.

Hi,
I've found temporary workaround. Changing Mailer from SMTP to PHP Mail helps.

So it seems only SMTP Mailer stopped working in CB 2.1.1.

Joomla will fallback if SMTP fails (general to sendmail or phpmailer). CB does not and simply errors or doesn't function.

I am getting the exact same problem. Right after update from CB 2.1.0 to CB 2.1.2 the mail function does not work anymore. Initially I thought it was caused by the update in the PHP version from 5.6 to 7.1.0, but now it is clear the problem appears only when I update CB to 2.1.2.

Any chances of a fix soon?
