System Info:
PHP Version: 5.5.9-1ubuntu4
Joomla! 3.3.0 Stable
Joomla Platform 13.1.0 Stable

Same here. Same setup
I see this when I try the package install
Code:
[...].zip failed to install! Error: Abort pcl.pclziplib.php : Missing zlib extensions

I also get the white screen on task=finishinstallation
I follow the README and it still seems horked up.

More details to follow

At last resort you can uncompress pluginsfiles.tgz, and rename the
resulting directory 'pluginsfiles' to 'plugin' at the same place.
You need to make sure that the plugin and all directories inside
plugin (user, templates, language) are also writable, otherwise you
won't be able to install CB plugins at a later stage.

I do not think this plugin folder is to be located in [baseURL]/administrator/components/com_comprofiler
where it is found but the site components/com_comprofiler

Perhaps the README should clarify this.

As for the other plugins.. I am going to attempt to install individually

I am dying on library/pcl/pcl.pclziplib.php
Code:
if (!function_exists('gzopen'))

but if I use gzopen64 it will load.
only taking me to a white screen.

refresh and the plugin seems to be there

this seems to be an Ubuntu problem
requiring to recompile my php which I am not 80% confident in doing
