Looks like a bug in CB 1.9.0 when upgrading on Joomla 1.6.x to CB 1.9.0
returns the error:

undefined method JDatabaseMySQLi::qn() in /tmp/.../install.comprofiler.php on line 78

README-UPGRADE.txt has this:
<snip>
============================================================
UPGRADING FROM CB 1.2 or better ON A JOOMLA 1.5 ENVIRONMENT
UPGRADING FROM CB 1.8.1 ON A JOOMLA 2.5 ENVIRONMENT
============================================================
@#1 giving a blank page after update 12:22am Sunday after fixing al the table complaints. Start Over!...
1) Install new CB component (com_comprofiler.zip) from
your CB 1.9 distribution package.
Do not uninstall existing CB component.
Previous installation and database will be updated automatically
and all CB fields, Tabs, Plugins, Lists, Configuration and user profile
data will be preserved.
</snip>

So would expect that to work from 1.6.x

This is now reported twice in General forum (by me and 1 other):
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/146-general/217702-what-are-my-upgrade-options-from-cb14-j16-
and
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/146-general/217726-cb-19-upgrade-fails-step-1-to-blank-page

To site admin: I'm not meaning to double post, just to draw attention to two reports of same bug, and get them in the bug area, now that I noticed. Please move my report from general over here if that's appropriate. Thanks.
