No Username Validation

Using CB 1.4 with Joomla 1.5.22.

Several users have registered with usernames that contain special characters and spaces.

When following the link from a member list entry with the username containing the special character rather than displaying that users cb profile the requester's profile is displayed.

On this site while advising the username should contain a minimum of 2 characters, no spaces and 0-9, a-z, A-Z only, both spaces and special characters are accepted.

This non-parsing of the username would seem to be a bug, yes?

you can set use of special characters in CB-->Field management-->username->Field-specific

Ah, yes I see. The default allowed input is not consistent with the input prompt. However, special characters when allowed cause a problem when the user name link is selected from a report, the link breaks and the profile of the requester is displayed.
