Can you please explain #5449 and #5856 a bit more?

Thank you.

Sure!

CBSubs 1.x-4.0.1 were using the CB 1.x API for database table models. In CB 2.0, that API has been kept with a backwards-compatibility (B/C) Legacy layer. CBSubs 4.0.2 is now using the new CBLib Database Table model, with additional functionality and less overhead. It is a technical detail, but it allows new possibilities to integrations and auto-actions. Net result is a small increase in speed.

That's just the default setting for new installations of CBSubs in CBSubs main Settings. By default, subscriptions were expired only when an administrator was logging in and accessing CBSubs, or if the corresponding user was online. Now each site access will change the status to expired for a number of expired subscriptions if needed. You can check your setting in:
CBSubs Settings ->
Automation settings ->
Mass expiry settings ->
Mass expire subscriptions method

By default it was maximum 100/admin access, now it is "maximum expirations-events 10/front-end acess and 100/admin access.". That setting allows a more immediate sending of expiration emails and other expiration firings.

Thanks Beat.

In case you guys haven't noticed yet, at the time of this writing the 4.0.2 manual is setting a new record in download speed for a file of the size as advertised. But then in reality it turns out to be zero bytes = empty... :(

Yes but there is nothing new for German.
Also not in transifex. Is there really no german translation that works with the new version 4.0.2 ???
