i am trying to create my first plugin for community builder... i need to have a gift registry on my site.
however unlike other gift registries the user can simply type in their own gifts rather than select gifts from an actual store.
i want it to be similar to "php gift registry"
basically the user can add unlimited items as follows:
1) enters an item name
2) perhaps a model number
3) a place to buy it
4) perhaps a link
5) the price
6) how much they want it
I then want the profile to be searchable by friends and family and then the item will be listed on the users homepage, friends/family will be able to reserve the items as follow:
1) family/friend click on an item button
2) an email/pms window pops up
3) family/friend enters their name/relationship/email/tel
4) family/friend click a tick box to say family/friend is buying this item
5) it gets sent to the user
6) the user can either accept/reject the item incase of it being spoof or not
7) if item is accepted it shows as already purchased in some way on the users profile.
im a completely noobie to creating components for CB so i know this is a big project for me
any input/pointers greatly appreciated.
am off to subscribe to the documentation now!
