A friend of mine is beginning work on setting up a community website for her EVE Online guild, and told me that the game has an API that allows the players of the game to connect to an outside system, such as phpBB, using their EVE Online credentials. From here, permissions and such for the board can be controlled from within the game - as your account in the game is granted levels of permissions in the game, the forums update your permissions accordingly.
That being said - this would make an AWESOME component / plugin for CB. The ability to link walls, blogs, photos, etc. to your game account is exactly the kind of thing CB is for. Would anyone be interested in developing a plugin for CB that handles this?
