[SOLVED] No Pending Emails was created by jonmetz
New registrations are not receiving pending email and I am not receiving notification that a new user is pending. This was working previously but seems to have stopped.

UPDATE: I tried using the Mass Mailer in CB > User Management to email myself to ensure emails are working or not in general. The email failed with this message: "Error sending email: SMTP connect() failed. https:// github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/ Troubleshooting" Any thoughts?

Your SMTP settings in Joomla global configuration are incorrect. It's failing to connect to the SMTP server.

System > Global Configuration > Server and adjust the settings under "Mail Settings". Try setting Mailer to PHP Mail if you're unsure what your SMTP settings are or if you should even be using SMTP. This would be up to your server though and if it requires SMTP you'll need to contact them for the SMTP settings.

The issue was because the SMPT email password was incorrect. Once the password was updated in Global configuration it is working again.
