[SOLVED] Auto Action - generate a "notification/message " on the page

4 years 9 months ago - 4 years 9 months ago #316469 by smalldragoon
Hi
I think autoaction is able to generate a message on the page ( usual joomla green or red banner ) , but can not find how.
Anyone can help ? ( tried some stuff with the different output available but doesn't seem to be it ! )
thanks !

Code auto action type can add to Joomlas message queue. Beyond that I can not provide support for paid products while you do not have an active subscription.

Hi Krileon
of course, my bad, I'm used to using CB all the time so did not pay attention to this.
Just renewed my membership for 6 months :D

Hi again.
So I rechecked this is what I was using.
When I use the direct link test ( with no triggers so ), it works
If I set the "joomla_onuserafterlogin", nothing happens.
is there somehting to activate somewhere ?
Thx

So you want to output a message after a user logs in? Currently you're acting on Joomla login event. I recommend using CBs onAfterUserLoginSuccess trigger instead which fires right before the login redirect and is a good time to add to Joomlas message queue. Example as follows.

Global
Triggers: onAfterUserLoginSuccess
Type: Code
User: Automatic
Access: Everybody
Action
Method: Message (Message Queue)
Code:
Code:
Hello!
Type: Message

Thanks a lot.
in fact the issue was the template that I was using which was crapy. it works with both :D ( joomla and CB after logging)
Now, Not sure if you remember my other post, when I want to trigger an action each time authorization check is performed.
tried joomla_onuserAuthorisation as I searched and did not find something is CB ( or only CB_onafterauthorizeview which is indeed after ).
any trick here ?
thx
